something i love about working on staff at cross point is the amazing amounts of fun we get to have. for instance, taking our parking lot shuttle/golf cart a mile down the road to get ice cream with a bunch of my coworkers.
what you are about to see unfold may take you by surprise. especially if your church doesn’t like to have fun. in the video you’ll meet matt (creative arts director), jenni (executive director), miranda (creative arts coordinator), ashley (office manager/first impressions), chad (dickson campus pastor) and jarrod (music director).
i should also note that even though a DUI was mentioned in the making of this film, the only influence we were under was the influence of sugar. just to clarify.
enjoy! :)

I may have just found my favorite video of all time!! That is too funny. I’m glad the Cross Point staff can have fun while on the job…makes for a much healthier work environment!
GREAT video!!! to answer the question at the end of the video…YES…i have never seen a DUI arrest on a golf cart, but it is possible…i have seen them on both a lawn mower and a farm tractor!!! too bad i can’t post that video…
What fun you guys were having. I am following you on Twitter… that’s how I found your blog/video. I love your wit…you are very amusing. God bless you.
bree
nice!! i wanna come play! :)
So…was the guy not eating, really the designated driver? Tell the truth!
And…near the end, did I see a kid on a tricycle pass you guys?
One more thing…ever seen clowns get out of the little car at the circus…just wondering if that’s how it looked when all of you piled out of the cart…
Oh – how I love our staff!! Miranda’s laugh is something I totally miss from that campus!
how funny……..i was totally waiting for you to get pulled over! enjoy life! Sometimes people never see us as believers having a good time!
rough day in the office for sure.
next time you guys need to ride a donkey’s or something!
fun…
Cool blog. Sounds like a great church. My friend goes there and directed me to your blog. I also help contribute to and edit Neueministry.com. If you’ve got the time, it’d be great to connect and chat.
Fun at the office…and out! LOVE IT!
love the video, we have an awesome staff! glad you’re part of it!
looks like you’re having a great time at cross point. glad you made some good connections. one question…why is everything backwards (words on your tee, steering wheel, etc)? did i miss something?
I’m bummed I missed out on a Dairy Dip run!!! Guess I should try to come to work more often.
holly, i used my photobooth which flips everything. :) and i was too lazy to flip it back… :)
Completely diggin the music. That’s one bad thing about being a SAHM. No staff. But I do have great tunes.
@holly, very observant. . The video portrayed backwards was an artistic way of saying that most of our staff is backwards. :)
I wanted to go but I was too busy praying for people.
Anne.
Tell Miranda that I remember that song from our puppet show’s too………oh the good ole’ days! NOT!
you guys have fun……..
Randy
i thought the waxy one was too busy cheating on his wife…or at least that is what his post yesterday said…now he’s claiming it’s prayer???
and was this the same cop that pulled you over two nights before??? is that why you guys were so worried, you were out of warnings…
Notice to Cross Point Attenders . . . . Your Tithe Dollars At Work!
So fun! Can you tell me what the music is! I love it! Thanks, Emily
John, yep! We are all about fun!
Emily, It’s Beck – Que Onda Guero from the Guero album. Fun little bit of work!
You haven’t had church staff fun until you’ve raced high speed go-karts in the church parking lot with Bill Hybels, John Ortberg, & Lee Strobel (along with the rest of the staff) (And Hybels won of course!)
okay, seriously. there are NO SUCH ice cream stores here in southern california. nothing like that at all
the variety
the sugary goodness
the fat content.
we just have baskin robbins, coldstone and the rest of the weird, yogurty places like pinkberry.
and i’m on a diet. so i almost had to stop watching. ouch.
Sarah – i would love to try pinkberry!
I love how Jarrod the Music Director is just kind of along for the ride but not totally there. That’s because he’s probably the one guy that actually has a pile of WORK to still do for this coming weekend like most Music Directors do around this time of the week. But of course, he got talked into going along so he doesn’t feel left out. That’s OK Jarrod . . . I’m there with ya man . . . I’m there with ya.
John (Music Director!)
If y’all are up in the Chicago area ever, check out one of the many Oberweis Dairy/Ice Cream stores. http://www.oberweisdairy.com Highest butter fat content of any ice cream in the country. Mmmmmmmm . . . . I’ve been enjoying this stuff since it was a small local dairy when I was in college 20 years ago. (which probably accounts for a small bit of weight gain over the years!)
Anne made me go.
That Anne . . . she’s always getting musicians in trouble. Nice to meet you Jarrod!
made my day
too fun
thanks for keeping the lighter side going
need that once in a while

Wow, fun!!! I just want to say that…Anne, you are just about the only person I know that could look so incredibly beautiful just riding around in a golf cart! Haha, I know that sounds kinda funny…but you are just so pretty!
good to see not every church is uptight!!! Ps. 100.2 says serve the Lord with gladness = FUN!
Makes me hungry for a milk shake!
‘you can get it on a lawn mower”
ha ha ha! love it
Fun! Fun!
I like the Beck in the background. :)
Jarrod LITERALLY has a pile of work on his desk because it is never cleaned!
Sweet innocent Jarrod, who got dragged along to the ice cream shop with his co-workers! lol! Now that’s a funny story!
I love this video and I hope we have many more adventures!
That ice cream looks REALLY great! On a different coin, there is a cool frozen yogart, here called Red Mango, It’s yum! BTW, your make up looks smashing! Do you use bare minerals? I’m serious!! I wanna know!! : )
