I think I would go to Haiti as well. I think there is a lot of need for the Church to step up and minister to the starving, hurting people there right now. Then I would travel over to the Dominican Republic and visit my sponsored child. :)
One of my friends just returned from Germany and Prague. After looking at her amazing photograph’s I would be in Prague with my husband on a romantic getaway!
No churchy answer here – Tahiti. Hope that’s ok. ha. I love the beach, the swimming, the exploring. But all these others sound intriguing too. Would LOVE to get the opp to go to Africa and do some real work.
If I could be anywhere today it would not be a physical place – it would be the place where I felt certain of what God is calling me to do and become. Things would cease being so fuzzy for me and I would feel this with more certainty and clarity.
If I can’t have that yet, I’ll take an adventure with my husband and son that’s still at home. I’d pack up and we’d head out on the road driving towards Alaska, or maybe up the New England coast…….just taking it one day at a time and discovering all there is to see along the way.

definatly japan, but if i was aloud to dream I would be fluent in japanese befor I go :)
I wouldn’t want to be anywhere in this moment except for here in Baton Rouge at HPC. God is using His church to be exactly what we should be. Serving people with authentic love, with no strings attached and all for HIS glory!
Back to the DR to see the hospital that Heath and I help to work to build…it would be amazing to visit it again. Either that or a trip to London with my husband…time for us.
Its so amazing that you guys want to be in Haiti. I’m on staff at a church that has a school in Haiti. We have 500 students that get a years worth of education, Jesus teaching, food, uniform and books for just $120 a year. We’re also working to bring a well with clean water to our kids there by the end of October. You can check out our work at http://www.cypressmeadows.org.
I want to be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I can’t stand being here in Tennessee and not in my hometown helping people get their lives back in order post-Gustav. (The support you’ve shown with the Blue Tarp initiative in conjunction with HPC — one of my favorite churches in the world — is SO encouraging & uplifting. Thank you.)
Haiti. Hands down, without a doubt, Haiti. I lived there after high school and my heart never quite made it back home with me. I’ve been dying to go back ever since.
Definitely Southeast Alaska. Juneau, specifically. I spent a summer there four years ago on a Campus Crusade summer project and fell in love with that place. I got to return for three weeks this past summer to help with a young men’s missions trip. It was glorious.
On a very large cruise ship somewhere away from hurricanes, sipping a fruity cocktail, and having my feet rubbed while listening to soothing beach tunes like steel drums or something of the sort. Yeah baby!

taking off my super spiritual hat for a sec (so other than with my wife & son, or on a missions trip) i’d like to be standing in line about to enter apple’s “let’s rock” event in san fran.
I’m surprised only one person said Ireland… i love living in Ireland, but if i could be anywhere else right now it would be Melbourne, Australia… i was there about a month and half ago, and wanna go back
For all the people hurting for Haiti, some close friends of mine are flying out today to go help out down there. Click my name for the story. Also check out http://www.bedouinsinternational.org/blog/
If we can’t be there personally we can at least lift up those who are. Pray for Haiti and pray for the team from Bedouins International that are packing their bags as i type this.
Anne, i’ll be in Thailand in January/February, wanna come hang out?
i would go to china or africa, my runneth over for children there. i hope to get the opportunity soon. i know a couple of people w/ ties to both locations.
Nancy
Just as Vince said above, lying in a grove of ferns, looking up at the trees.
After that, using my “Jetsons jet pack” I would go to a convalescent hospital, sit and and listen to the hurting people. Wow, now I’m sad!! I better go lie in some ferns!
right now in the midst of dealing with being wife and mommy and all the tasks that go with that, i’d go to san francisco and go to the marin headlands and just sit and stare at the golden gate bridge and the pacific ocean. i know, not very spiritual, but hey you said right now.
I know I haven’t seen this place yet but I want to be in heaven where i can talk to my Heavenly Dad and and my Birth dad and ask question of how come different things in my life had to happen and why other things in my life didn’t
Odd that you would mention Haiti and Thailand. I’ve been to Haiti and have met the child I sponsored there for 16 years. I would like to go back now to meet his little brother (the one I sponsor now). The other one I sponsor is in Thailand — I’d love to meet Siriporn, my Compassion girl who is now in the Leadership Development Program and is in University Studies. She’s an amazing woman of God! We write very lengthy letters of 3-4 pages to each other now.
Prague or Russia or Kenya (on a safari) w/friends; although an escape from work (to anywhere) right now might be nice :-)
KC
Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, studying for a degree in International Affairs & Modern Language, visiting a sweet Chinese friend in Dubai, Morocco, kneeling before Jesus. Face down before the throne.
Your comment about bitstream is also wrong. You cannot send DTS-HD MA or Dolby TrueHD via Bitstream. DTS-HD MA is not compatible with the PS3 at all and Dolby TrueHD is sent ou as a PCM signal (you must have Linear PCM selected as the audio output format). dvd to pspIf you select DTS-HD MA from a Blu-ray language menu it comes out as lossy DTS. If you keep cycling by the languages to get to dolby TrueHD with “Bistream” chosen you’ll only get Dolby Digital (again, lossy).
