How Can We Pray for You This Weekend?

My husband and I pray together at least once a day where we lay out our thanks and intercede for others.

I thought this weekend, perhaps we can pray for you.

Please leave your praise or request in the comments (or if it’s private, you can use the form on the contact page) and we are glad to pray for you this weekend.

People say that blogging on a Friday is pointless as it’s such a dead traffic day. Originally, I was going to stick to a Monday-Thursday writing schedule, but it would be super neat to do this weekly and report back how God works in our lives.

If you’d like to pray for us, please continue praying we find a church home.

Have a great weekend!

My husband and I are looking for a church home, too. We live in a small town and our options are limited but I would really like to be a part of this community. I’m praying God leads us to a place we’ll be fed but also where we’ll have a ministry. Thank you!

No requests, but my new daughter Henley Grace was born Wednesday morning and we get to go home today. Everything is amazing.

Austin and I both got sick and today he is better and left for the Act Like Men conference. I’m glad he is going, but I’m still a bit under the weather. Pray that I am healed and our children stay well.

Prayer that my husband would be the spiritual leader of our home and that we would be drawn to pray together daily. Also for more open communication between us; that is a stronghold the enemy has placed between us.

My friend has been married 22 years. Her husband was unfaithful to her but she has offered incredible grace and forgiveness. He has filed for divorce and wants to start over with the “other woman”. She is asking for a miracle and for God to restore her marriage.

I’m leading a Pure Adventure (purity program) for middle schoolers this weekend (and there’s also a high school purity & holiness at the same time) at Bair Lake Bible Camp in southwestern Michigan. Thanks!

    1. Please pray about a difficult situation between two of our friends. (One wants God; the other is holding her back.)

    2. Please pray that God will soon move us on into the next phase of the work he has called us to.

Thanks! And we will be praying for you both.

My husband, Tony, and I are getting ready to take a big leap of faith. We are leaving South Florida and moving to Charlotte in a few weeks and I am quitting my full time job to stay at home with our little one. My husband doesn’t have a job yet in Charlotte, but we know that God is leading us that way and that He will provide. Please pray that as we move forward not knowing where our provision will come from, that we keeping trusting in God and not lose faith. Thank you for praying for us. :)

Thank you for praying with me! Please pray that the book I’ve just published will find the women and men who need to recognize the cycle of emotional abuse and domestic violence, and to be freed from it. “Released: A True Story of Escape from an Abusive Marriage” is a very personal story of the beauty that God made out of the ashes in my life. I pray it brings glory to Him.

Praying that you will soon find your new church home! You are a blessed couple with many talents and the Lord will show you where He is going to place you next.

Prayers for my son Conner (9) having surgery to remove a cyst in his sinuses and while in there they are taking his adenoids out and possible correct a slight deviated septum.

He has been fighting sinus infections for almost 2 years and we have been doing various things to figure out why like allergy testing, etc. The doctor finally ordered the CT scan and that is when they saw the cysts. While it has not hindered him day to day with sports etc. he just always felt sick and could not breath that well thinking he was congested. Praying this will finally give him relief.

    Thanks!
I will be praying for you and your husband to find a good church home!

Also to Katie Alicea (above) we live in Charlotte, actually a suburb (SE), Stallings in Union County. Go to a great church, fivestones church (in Weddington/Waxhaw area), although I am admittedly biased because play electric guitar in the worship band. :)

I would be glad to chat, find out why Charlotte, family here? Let me know what your husband does I can ask around. Hit me on twitter and we can go from there.

    THANKS!

Anne, Please pray my husband finds a job. He has been out of work for a year. It’s very hard on him to not be able to provide for his family. Our faith in God is not shaken but we really need him to answer our prayers soon.

Praying Tim and you find a great church soon! Miss you!

Thank you for your willingness to pray for us! Request #1 My husband desperately needs a job. He was laid off in May and is doing everything he can do to find one! Request #2 Our health insurance company changed our plan and raised our rate from $379.00 per month to $1,059.00 per month. We know God is able and are trusting – but it is getting so hard to make ends meet. I have a job teaching in a Christian school and we are grateful for my job! Praying for you both! Susan

For peace and patience while waiting for the right guy to come in. God is always good and we can always trust Him, but some days are more difficult than others.

    Anne,
I’m just reading your book “Permission to Speak Freely” and I’m being challenged with how to do this in my own life. Your words in this book set a phenomenal example of what it means to be open to Christ. I will be praying for God to work within me through the words of this book, and I ask that you say a prayer for me as well.

I will keep you guys in my thoughts, as your living example of Faith in Action is uniting people from communities all across the country. Thank you!

This really sounds like a GREAT idea!

Wanted to tell you that we got a long e-mail last night from the friend I mentioned who wants God. And that it sounds as if God has begun working in her life in a way that will help her deal with the rest of it. She’ll still need prayer, to follow through on what she’s started. But that was a VERY quick answer! Thank you for praying. And we’ll still be praying for you.

    1. LOVE this pic of you two!!!
    2. You are so sweet to do this.
    3. I would love prayer for my next steps. I have been resisting God on some small thing that seems to make a big difference. I have surrendered it and I am ready for what He has next for me and my newly-married hubs. We make a year next week! I have a book that I feel has been in me for years, my story of healing and restoration for loss- I actually sent you a post card with some of it on it for your Permission to Speak Freely book, and I just can’t get my head around it all- so many layers. I feel that surrendering will help the process. I know it all works together and I am just eager to find my call in Him and be a voice for Him in some way.
    4. Thank you.
    5. SOOOOO praying you guys find a home in Him and His people!!!

Thanks so much for offering to pray!

I am unemployed and am looking for a great job that fits my God given dreams, skills and life experience. I have an interview on 11/18 with a local organization/ministry that *I* think would be a perfect fit.

I still love this idea! It gets a GOOD group of people together to pray, even if most of us don’t know each other. (And maybe that helps.) We made two prayer requests, and later reported we’d seen progress on one of them. Now I want to say the same thing on the second. No, we’re not all the way there yet. But we succeeded in one related-to-it thing yesterday that we’d been trying unsuccessfully to do for weeks, and had kept getting stopped for all kinds of reasons: weather, sickness, busy times at work, you name it. But yesterday we succeeded in that step. Will still appreciate your prayers that we will see both requests FULLY achieved!

ok well this is stupidly late…just like you and tim, we are also searching for a church home. its been too long where i felt relaxed and content with where i was going. its been too long since i have been wanting to put time and effort into a church. it doesn’t help that i work swing shift now and i get home at 1130 or so and don’t want to go to bed till 1 and were too tired to get up early enough to go to church. so if anything pray for a shift change, or something along those lines. love you guys!
