Anyway, so there you have it. A little surgery for this little heart problem. August 14.
I’d appreciate the prayers, and any other reposting of this video to get your readers praying too.
Much love.

Sounds scary, will be praying for you! (BTW, I’ve been following your blog for awhile, I love your writing and your perspective!)
And I’m assuming you know who MckMama is in the blog world (mycharmingkids dot net)? Her ~8 mo. old son has SVT and they are hoping to do an ablation on him within the next few years. That all might be old news to you, but I thought I’d pass it along just in case. :)

Yer having minor heartsurgery (can you say oxymoron?)soon, and all I can think is OMG Anne! Yer moving again?? (grin)
Wow! Praying, and date diarised. Or diarized as you’d spell it. Should we even still use that word in the age of electronic calendars/schedules?

I will be praying. I had ablation when it was still in experimental stages (here in Atlanta). Your SVT (supra ventricular tachycardia) should be helped by this abalation. I had lethal case of VT (ventricular tachycardia) and the ablation has helped tremendously. Thank God for advancement in the medical field. And, are you sure you’re not drunk or already on the meds prepping you for your ablation while shooting this vlog-j/k:) I enjoy your blog and tweets.

Hey wow! I totally understand because I was just diagnosed with SVT as well and am just waiting for the date for my surgery. I couldn’t do the drug route because my blood pressure is on the low end of the normal range and the drugs will lower it even more. I was supposed to donate a kidney to my wife’s brother and during the testing, they found this heart condition. (I wrote a little about it on my recent blog post.)
Anyway, I will be remembering you as your date approaches.

Annnnnneeeee! Dangit it is right! I’m sure while you’re calm & cucumber cool on the outside, you could have scrambled eggs for brains on the inside, sooo…..I’ll pray about the head part and the other heart part, in addition to the heart part mentioned in here.
I SO wish I could bring you dinner, but I’m just a wee bit too far from you to keep it warm. Glad your mom is coming instead :).
(Can you believe this? I even wish we were close enough to help you with your upcoming move…not even for the pizza, lol, just to hang out :) ).
Praying, thinkin’ about and sharin’ the word.

Please know we will continue to pray, and are here to help in any way we can.

Hi Anne, I had SVT 3 years ago and also opted for an ablation.
It is a bit intimidating to have a heart procedure, but I haven’t had any problems or had to take any medication since. The procedure was definitely the way to go and the recovery was manageable.
I’ll be praying for you!

Definitely will be praying! I work at Vandy so if you are having it done here let me know! I’ll come and videotape you on drugs for ya! LOL
God Bless You Anne! I had an angioplasty with two stents placed into my left anterior descending artery a month ago, which also was deemed “a minor” procedure.
Prayers go to you, your family, and all the medical professionals that will be involved in the procedure and post recovery.
Peace be with you!
Of course I’ll pray over the pre/present/post surgery time, especially the anxiety aspect! The surgery is going to be well worth it!

praying for you. Glad it got diagnosed and there is a solution.
Lynse Leanne?s last blog post..Love my Church
Hey there. I’ve had PSVT since I was 10, all my life I went to numerous doctors who brushed it off saying it was anxiety or nothing to be concerned about. I wasn’t diagnosed with it until about 6 years ago while I was pregnant. I am now 27 years old, so I have lived with this condition for the past 17 years. off and on I would have episodes, sometimes 3 or 4 a year, sometimes I would go 3 years without a single episode of it. It’s getting worse as I’m getting older and now It takes adenosine to convert it and let me tell you after you get adenosine you will want anything in the world to be cured from this annoyance.
I’m trying to get my ablation bumped up to July some time, if i cant it will be done in August as well. I’m hoping to get in touch with the right person to get it done sooner while my husband is on leave.
I’ll be following your blog. I’m very positive about the procedure… try to stay away from forums cause there are some negative post, but I personally know of one person who has had the procedure she has been cured and hasn’t had an episode in 8 years, after having them almost daily.
It really helps to stay positive and to ready of positive expeiriences.
Good Luck!
Praying for you and Chris. BTW… nice background music choice!

God totally has it in the bag! Will be praying for your healing and your nerves :) Plus, August 14th is my birthday and good things happen on my birthday, good things like your surgery going amazingly well.
I had my ablation in April of last year, and I was Neeeervous – so I get it. The happy meds they give you on the way in are great. The world is all La la la la, and then the lights come back on, and it’s over, and then your groin (can I say groin?) hurts like the Dickens for a while. It looks bruised and awful, and then it gets better, and then your heart doesn’t get all wonky anymore. It’s beautiful, really.
It’s so nice to not be anxious about the rabbit that tries to jump out of your chest from time to time. I’ll pray.

Dad recently had a similar procedure (which I couldn’t spell to save my life!). Not fun, but considerably better afterward, so well worth it :~)
Just a little heads-up – it’s important to follow the doc’s post-op instructions so you don’t accidentally re-open the leg vein (like Dad did). Since you should feel noticeably better after the procedure it may be tempting to say “oh, I’m sure I could do this…” Well, at least, I know MY lack of patience would put me in jeopardy of doing the same…
Praying for you! And, um, no you don’t look drunk :~)
Our family, too, will be praying for you.
My wife Yvonne, wants you to know that two nights ago, while all four of us were praying together, she felt especially impressed to pray for you. So we did. Now we understand why. We’ll continue.

Praying for you, Anne!
” I needed the quiet so he drew me aside
Into the shadows where we could confide,
Away from the bustle where all the day long
I hurried and worried when active and strong.
I needed the quiet tho at first I rebelled,
But gently, so gently my cross he upheld,
And whispered so sweetly of spiritual things,
Tho weakened in body, my spirit took wings
To heights never heard of when active and gay,
He loved me so greatly he drew me away.
I needed the quiet, no prison my bed,
But a beautiful valley of blessings instead ?
A place to grow richer in Jesus to hide
I needed the quiet so he drew me aside.”

Hey Anne,
My nephew had this procedure done a couple of years ago and he’s doing fine today. It really is a simple procedure, but I’m sure that’s easy for me to say since I’m not the one having it. Anytime they work on your heart the stress level goes up I’m sure.
I’ll be praying.
Blessings,

Definitely praying for you, Anne. I had minor surgery about 2 months ago to have a questionable tumor removed…I was terrified. And since i’m a painfully private person I didn’t even tell people about it until the day before the procedure (when I couldn’t take it for another minute). Kudos to you for putting it out there so we can be on the wall for you. Your transparency inspires me. Be blessed, in Jesus’ name.
