Seriously.
I have no idea how in the world I am ever going to blog again after a day like today.
I haven’t laughed harder – or cried harder – in my life.
And it all has to do with this little boy.
His name is Tushar. He’s five. He is one of the children I sponsor through Compassion.
Our day started out pretty simply.
We met.
Then…well…this madness ensues.
(Watch it. It will seriously be the best minute of your day. I dare you to disagree with me).
===
===
And, well, after five hours of that…there’s nothing left to say but this.
Only $32 a month to give this little boy and his family hope, food, care, education, prayers, letters, photos, laughter, rest, love?
After a day like today, I’d pay a million.

Just in case anyone was actually concerned, this isn’t my last post. Although it’s going to be hard to beat.
What an adorable little kid. He definitely enjoyed hamming it up for the camera.
I can’t wait until I get the opportunity to meet one of our Compassion kids.
That, quite possibly, made my day.
Thanks, Anne!

Speechless!! That was so awesome. What great picture to have frame for you to take back home.
Anne, thanks for sending some of your experiences there back to us where we are. I’m sure most of us wish we could be there too, and in some way we are. Thanks!
By the way, my FIRST sponsored child is a four year old boy named Marcelle from Rwanda. He is awesome! I pray that he will grow up strong, healthy and one day share the love Jesus has for him with many others.
Anne, as emotional as this ebb and flow is for you, keep it up! You’re contagious!!!
Awesome. AWEsome. AWESOME!
I watched your video with my 5-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter sitting next to me on the couch. They were cracking up by the end of the video (especially when he tried to eat the camera). What a ham!
How can you leave?
Anne
thanks for going. Hurry home! travel safe.
you made the world smaller this week.
He’s no different than most 5 year old boys I know…he just needs a chance, thanks for giving him one Mr. and Mrs. Jackson.

May turn His face toward you and give you peace and wholeness.

Blessed by reading about your trip. I enjoyed the live chat last night as well. You made my daughter’s night by waving at the camera.

Thanks! First, we’re going to Japan to play a show in downtown Tokyo. Which should be amazing. It’s going to be really evangelistic. Praying that the love of God pours out on those people.
Then we’re off to Cambodia and Bangladesh with Food for the Hungry. We’re going to visit the villages that they’re working in and my wife and I will meet our sponsor child, Phana.
So excited to see what God is going to do!
peace.

thanks for sharing that video. it made me grin from ear-to-ear. God had really worked on my heart recently about sponsoring a compassion child and finally i gave in. although it’s only been a couple of months, it’s thrilling to get the letter from my child and know that she’s real and what i’m doing makes a great difference.
