the book is coming soon, and i’m thinking it would be fun to take a little day trip one weekend out somewhere kinda close to do a book reading/signing!
the question is…where?
i’ve put down a few options in the poll below.? if you’d actually come to a book signing in one of the cities, please cast your vote…and leave a comment if you’d like as well telling me why.? flattery gets you everywhere! :)

Florida. Somewhere near Daytona Beach, FL
I think you should turn it into an international book tour. Hmmmm, maybe start somewhere like, I don’t know, Tel Aviv!!! You would have one fan there!!!!

Go ATL Go!
I voted “OTHER” because you should come to DC!!! :) I think our nation’s capital could use a little Anne Jackson!!!
Raleigh NC needs to make the list. We do have a Southwest hub here. There’s a free car ride from the airport to your signing and back in it for you. ;-)
Well, my favorite blogger should probably come visit the greatest city in the world (aka: New York, NY), but alas, it’s a bit far from Nashville. Though if you do show up around here, I’ll be sure to make an appearance! Wouldn’t miss that opportunity for Steve Jobs’ latest gadget unveiling! (And I love my Apple toys dearly.)
ummm, it should be in Lima, OH because i did an “advanced reader copy” review…and i have passed on the book to a staff member in neeeeeeeed…she has loved it and i’m sure it will be purchased numerous times over here soon…
ummm, i could arrange for you to speak at our church while you’re here(or not)…and chris could rock out with the source band…
ummm, we now have three st. arbucks in our small town…
ummm, because my wife and little girl would love for you to come hang out with them…did i mention my little girl and how she would love for you to come(you can’t resist her smile!!!)
Anne,
Definitely Indy! You were just in ATL in October so why would you want to go back? :) Anyways, Brad and I would love to see you. Hope you make it to Indy!
Well, birmingham is fairly close for me so i’d just like to be abel to attend. My copy of your book is pre-ordered from Amazon and I’m not sure it will be in before Feb. 2 when I see you at cre:ate.
I vote Austin, Texas — lots of great live music and yummy food here. I’ll see to it that you get both. =)
Duh-allas!
I voted for Anchorage, AK. It’s completely unrealistic as a day trip from where you’re at, but it’s where I live and I’d bet that you haven’t been here before so it has that new place appeal.
Please consider Atlanta.
1. It’s an easy day’s drive from middle TN. And the time change works for you going home.
2. Blokes like me who have only learned about you in the past 1-2 months missed any prior engagements you’ve had here.
3. The key to effective marketing is repetition + relevance in a size-worthy market. Atlanta meets that.
4. I can get at least 2-5 ministerial staff and lay leaders from my church to attend (who could use your message).
5. Surely you have friends in town you’d enjoy seeing again.
Look forward to reading your book.
I voted for other because I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I would LOVE to meet you Annie! I know that their are others ( at my Church, specifically!) that would like to also! Besides, you are ALSO my favorite Blogger ( sorry Brad!LOL) Seriously, I know that this would be a Good place to have a Book/ reading signing. And last but not least! Were close also! :)
What city/state provides the most traffic to your blog according to your Google Analytics stats? That’s where you should go. Excluding your city & state, of course.
Dallas/Ft Worth! I see a couple of Texas tweets…so, we should get first dibs : )
I voted other… How about Louisville, KY? Two seminaries across the street from each other on Lexington Road (SBTS and LPTS) = LOTS of people going into ministry who would benefit from the book. :-)
I’m in agreement with Raleigh, NC. I can even offer you a free place to stay and possibly some speaking stuff could be worked out????
You should come to Houston, TX! It’s such a great city. Lots of people – lots of fun. You could visit Ecclesia – a really amazing community of faith down in midtown Houston. Don’t know if you’ve heard of Chris and Robbie Seay but they head up the pastoral/worship stuff at Ecclesia and they are GREAT. Chris Seay was one of the head “conspirators” in the Advent Conspiracy project. Anyway – Houston is a great place! We’d love to have you.
CANADA! Toronto, Ontario. Not close, but worth the trip!
key west – you can stay in the beach house gratis
Just have Zondervan bring you back here to Grand Rapids… and charge the whole thing to them…. that way it’s a free weekend trip. We have plenty of things to do and places to go to sign books…. Barnes and Noble, Schulers Books, Family Bookstores, Kregel Bookstores, Baker Bookhouse and a couple of cool little indy stores. Not to mention, Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, Calvin College, Hope College, Kuyper College, Grace Bible College and about a 1000 churches in the metro area. Big, big audience….
ok, a couple more reasons why you should come to lima, oh…
this friday is my birthday!!!
you’ve never been to lima before…
did i mention my daughter and her smile???
long as its far away from texas, its cool with me =)
well…you would have a free place to stay (unless they paid for a hotel). there are a TON of churches with burnt out pastors, staff and volunteers….it is a lot like Nashville….except Birmingham has me….which should be the selling point. it has a lot of bookstores….it is pretty much the center of the Bible Belt…and only a couple of hours from Atlanta and Memphis…those peeps could come here. I will buy you starbucks for everyday that you are here and every time you want it in those day(s).
I think you should come to one of the newest BARNES and NOBLES here in Burlington NC at Alamance Crossing, or better yet, you could come to our church..maybe even attend one of our services Saturday night or two opportunities on Sunday.
I know you could fly into Greensboro or RTP depending on your preference. Also, if you needed a place to stay, that would definately not be an issue. We’d put you up!
Getting you here and scoring a signed copy would definately make me a happy guy. Hope you can make it!
~Shawn~
PS: Drop me an email if you are chosing this area, I’ll make arrangements to have you picked up, place to stay, etc.
I voted Boston because you are too far away and its be fun
Indianapolis because it is a very underrated city. The downtown is amazing and I know you have a number of fans here.
i voted for indianapolis before i saw that ‘other’ was an option (darn). indy was the closest choice to cincinnati. which would really be my first choice.
You gotta come to Indy so I can make a one hour + trip to meet you in person. :)
tulsa is lovely this time of year :)
realistically, i’ll be in atlanta at some point soon ;) and bham…so i am thinking indiana might be the next logical option… (although i would want to go everywhere…buy me a plane ticket and i’ll come!) :)
i voted kansas city…it’s 8 hours from nashville, so technically it’s a day trip. also..i’d love to see you..even if i have to stand in line!
Well, I could go to Indy. Its not that far away! maybe we could get a Bunch of us and Make it a Road trip!
I vote Dallas…I can’t afford a plane ticket but I can do you a room and a good family dinner! Plus, since this used to be home, you would have lots of friends to see!!!
I voted other because we need someone like Anne Jackson to hit the Chicagoland area and specifically the western suburbs (Naperville, Aurora, Oak Brook – etc.).
Doh! Virginia Beach, VA. Seriously.
…and I’d be willing to be your personal bodyguard\or suave PA.
