NOW…IF YOU DIDN’T WIN…you still have one more chance.
I will be having a special contest for the “Fight Mad Church Disease” FaceBook group that I will announce to them tomorrow morning, so if you are not a member already, jump in and join it (heck, even invite your friends for good measure!) and maybe you’ll win on Friday when the Facebook winners are announced! Ten more copies will be given away!

Thank you guys SO much for getting excited about the contest yesterday. I can’t tell you how encouraging your comments were to read. At the same time, my heart was broken by many of them. I am praying so much that this book will be a catalyst to start conversations about health and healing.

Awesome, I can’t wait to review it.
I have a question you might want to throw out to your fellowbloggers and commentors Anne.
It seems there is a lot of abuse going on in churches today whether it’s emotional. physical, or whatever. Iv’e had a stalker while I was the praise team leader at church and most of the congregation had no idea. Then I was brutalized by a lead pastor while I was worship pastor. I’m not singing the blues or looking for pity. I just want answers and opinions please. Let’s assume iIwas wrong and am blowing my story out of proportion. This kind of thing still is going on and happening to staff members all over. My question isn’t about the abuse but about other people in the church not knowing what’s going on with people they sit with, worship with, pray with, eat with and so on. Are we so involved in the nursery or serving donuts or playing guitar or ushering that we don’t know what’s happening to someone else even someone involved in the same ministry we’re involved in? I fear sometimes we are so wrapped up in what we’re doing and that it becomes an excuse to really put our heads in the sand and not try to get to know others and help people. I know some people won’t talk and bring it out in the open but still there are signs and we need to be watching. What do you think? I’m not accusing anyone of this but have you seen this in your church?
Anne…Hope your week is good. I wasn’t sure of the best place to post this. Anyway, I wanted to express my anticipation of your book. As I read through the sample chapter I was amazed. That chapter alone is something my church has got to work through. The leadership teams have been most affected. They followed a man, planted a church only t find out he was sleeping with “half the city”!!!! Anyway, I have been walking them through the healing process for nearly 6 months. I know the rest of the book will be filled with great insight beyond just that. I look forward to walking my ledership through this book. Thanks for sharing!

I too wanted to post how excited I am for this book. I love it! I read it in one day and now I’m reading it again letting it sink in better, detail reading rather than fast reading. It has really really touched me. I’m new to being intentionally involved with church…. but it’s very relevant to me. To understand what others have gone through and that pain I hear about so often. Despite never being really ‘churchy’ or involved in church — I have always had a love for The Body though I never felt it ever loved me. I definitely can tell you have that same love for the Body of Christ and it’s beautiful! Look forward to finsihing it and reviewing it for you! :) xoxo
