Girl you look good in the morning! Rock on! Isn’t Nashville teh best whe it comes to music? I love the creative community we live in! It is 10:00am and I am on my first cup of coffee…I have a late night Olympic watching hangover!
ummm, last night with you at your third show… if i’d fit 3 shows in i’d probably still be in bed! :)
Last time I acted 20? My wife says I’m not even out of Jr. High yet. She’d *like* it if I acted 20.
Last night. Pancakes late after Catalyst service.
tuesday, august 5.
2 weeks ago, in Boston. Oh, and I think your hair looks great! :-)
2 weeks ago, hangin out with my friends at Dennys til after 1…good times.
About 2 or 3 weeks ago – we had a Christmas in July party with our friends. Spiced it up by making all Indian dishes; even the turkey was done with more spices than I can remember. Did Christmas song quiz, crazy gift exchange where you can steal someone else’s already opened gift instead of taking one from under the tree and generally played games and had silly fun until 4am. Then I slept until noon.
Anne – the other day you asked if what you are experiencing is what 30 is like. Well cheer up…this is what 50 is like. Fun!!!
I can’t remember, kids have a way of doing that to you.
Probably 7 years ago when I was 20.
twice last week.
the recovery is little longer than it used to be.
i think back when i was 20…which was…right now.
Nick – I hear you. But please be encouraged; life does return after children. We are just coming out of the stage where all your energy and attention is invested in your kids and, although I wouldn’t change a thing about the past years with our 2 girls, it sure is fun to have a life again. I am having fun with my husband again, doing things together -just the two of us.
Last Saturday: drove from San Antonio to Austin to catch The New Frontiers (beautiful, beautiful band, by the way). Left around 7 PM, in bed by 2 AM. We were probably the only ones in the club not under 25. Felt oooold and tired the next morning. But it was worth it. Do check out their 1st album, Mending, you will not regret it.
I hear the “kids” comment.
But my wife and I did act 20 when the last Harry Potter came out. Went to the midnight showing. Liked the movie (but the books are all better). But the next day sucked!
We’re definitely NOT in college anymore!
Couple of weeks ago i was pulling late nighteters…up till like 2 and 3 am a couple of nights in a row…talk about a wake up call.
I pretend im 20 a lot.
except I’m 17.
any time i am around kids – which i generally love – i often act much younger than 20. :)
the olympics, though, are definitely keeping me up past my normal bed time!
just curious…what books are on your shelf behind you?
every weekend hauling BT’s (son) equipment from show to show – starts at 5pm get home at 2 am – with 10 hrs of real job work done before 5 pm.
i’m still amazed how wimpy the younger generation seems to be-
20? That’s many moons ago. I’m so old I used to hang out with Moses
btw. Say “hugemugofchai” five times. Start sounding funny after the third one.
what do you mean? I am 20 – at least on the inside……
I act 20 when our praise team stays up too late, has too much caffeine and gets silly……plays games, karaokes, etc
I sometimes act 20 when my kids are all home and we play Wii or go out late to the movies….
I love acting 20……..i’m not as uptight now as I was when I was in fact 20.
look around you….i’m the middle aged woman down front with the kids.
anne,
you should consider doing a political thought series. i think that i would like to see what you think about the upcoming election, if you are even interested.
alright take care!
p.s. you even look 20 in your picture! ha you’re very pretty
It will be 12 years labor day weekend. Wow what a night.
I do it all the time!! i am only 22. i live that way.
Probably not since I was 17. :)
I’m glad you finally got to see Levi!
I’m 38. Not sure about acting 20, but I was 7 for a few hours at my Son’s Birthday party last night. And then spent the rest of the evening sagging in my chair like I was 50.
not real recently. since i don’t really know how i’d act as a 20 year old. i’ll let you know in eighteen months. :]
We drove 5 hours to DC last week to the Coldplay show. Then my husband drove us all the way back afterwards. Got home at 4:20am and called in sick to work. Awesome.
Hopefully this weekend at Smith’s Old Bar in the ATL listening to Matthew Perryman Jones and my friend Cori. Pray for babysitting!
every tuesday night for softball…then i regret it til thursday or so…
I still kinda feel like I act 20 all the time. But I am 23… so maybe that doesn’t really count…
The last time I acted like I was 20 was on Monday night. My friend came to visit from out of town and dressed up like we were forever 21 and hit the town. I had a kitchen pass and enjoyed every minute of it. I was EXHAUSTED!!!, when I went to work the next day. Oh the 30’s…oh how you make me pay…
Everyday
that would be this morning. went fishing at 2:30am…..ouch!
December 31, 2003 and January 1, 2004….wait, I guess I was acting like I just turned 21 instead of 20. =)
For me, it was about 2 years ago.
When I actually WAS 20. =)
I am 20…duh.
plus 10.
dang.
You didnt do your hair? because it looks AMAZING!
The “20 year old” nights still happen pretty often…but definitely less and less. Dang. :)
Wow. I just realized this topic makes me sad. I never got to ‘act like a 20 year old’. I didn’t know it even bothered me until now. I was employed since 8th grade, consuming weekends, evenings and summers. Worked my way through college and early marriage. I stopped being employed when I needed to be a round-the-clock caregiver. The persons needing care have changed over the years, but there has always been someone who needed more care than average and I have been designated ‘responsible person’. I don’t resent it, but this topic sure kicked off the thoughts of “I wonder what it would have been like . . . ” and I am almost 50.
