my brain has totally locked up. i have been trying to bust through as much mad church disease writing as possible, as well as finishing up some things for our move (we found a place downtown and it is totally smashing…and quite reasonably priced!)
brain-is-frozen!
texas, on the otherhand, is NOT frozen. it has been in the 80s for the last week. yet i have decided not to let the temperature outside reflect my clothing decisions. it is fall, and i want to wear a sweater. so i am today. and here is a goofy photo of me at-this-moment posing with my african autumn rooibos tea in said sweater.

that as about as interesting as it’s going to get here today. (and for you people who swear i look like kat von d…proof i really dont!)
what’s it like in your world?

70s.
it doesn’t feel anything like my birthday is supposed to feel like.
61 degrees in northwest Georgia…already had some frost a few days ago…and despite the drought, beautiful fall colors.
I’m with you on this whole “It’s fall but it feels like spring” thing. I prefer my seasons in order as they should appear. Thus fall should not consist of shorts as a legitimate choice in outwear. Oh well they are predicting highs of 40 degrees the rest of the week (whoever “they” are).
It’s in the upper 40s and rainy, only adding to my current depression.
YICK!!!
That sweater and hot tea would definately work here in Oklahoma City! It’s Novemeber! It’s cold!
I’m enjoying Atlanta’s fall. It’s in the 60s at the moment, but it’s been spending time in the 40s in the evenings. I spent ~6 years in Florida where there is no fall, and have just moved back into the lands of seasons this year.
It’s cloudy… which I like… and pretty chilly, and Thanksgiving break is in two days! I can’t wait!
That sweater looks lovely on you, btw… I like the color.
warm, like spring. :(
No sweaters here you will roast.
I do admire you for standing up and professing your loyalty to Fall.
I hope to do the same as soon as it is not 85 outside.
My brain longs for freedom as well!
The weather here is east TN is warm right now. The whole cold-one-day-hot-the-next is reeking havoc on my sinuses. I am enjoying the amazing colors of the fall leaves though!
in the 70s now, but snow by turkey day….gotta love missouri!
i KNOW… it’s ridiculously warm here in dfw! but just wait… they’re predicting highs in the 40s on thursday. maybe it will feel like fall for a day or two!
rock those warm, cozy clothes. it IS fall, whether it feels like it outside or not!
It’s a chilly 35 degrees here in Vermont! It was 19 when i went to work at 5am this morning…eek! I will trade you for the warm 80 degrees :-)
I guess I’m in a different part of OKC–or just behind on commenting b/c the high today is 80 freakin’ two.
The good news is it’s supposed to be 59 on Thanksgiving.
PS I like what you’ve done to your hair!
i am amazed you have this many comments.
i put on my only sweater this morning for the same reason, only to find that our high-heat dryer had effectively shrunk it into a tiny shrug.
rest in peace in all your blue-striped-glory, my favorite sweater.
I am SO with you on the whole “embracing fall” deal. Our summer temps lasted a loooooong time here in central KY; I, too, was eager for the clothing changes. :)
Geez, even tomorrow is supposed to be 71! This is KY, so, of course, it will be down to hight 30’s by Friday…
it is in the mid to upper 70’s and thanksgiving….FOR THE LOVE.
i however could not wear a sweater on these days….cant handle the heat….i am canadian for heavens sake.
but props for embracing the season, i would love to join you.
ps – had no idea that rooibos tea was completely caffeine free…good to know.
60 degrees here, but the foggy mornings have begun. And if you haven’t been in the central valley of California you haven’t experienced fog.
By the way, love the hair. And for all you who don’t know, Anne does look like Kat Von D, and the reason why she is wearing the sweater is not the weather it is because she has to hide the sleeve of tats on both of her arms.
downtown OKC? are you close to bricktown?
I love Purple! and I especially like your hair dark.
It’s warm here in Baton Rouge.
The temp’s been up and down. But today it’s in the 50’s and overcast.
Love the new hair by the way! ;)
I left Buffalo area Sat morning in snow flurries, spent yesterday at Elevation Church in Charlotte in 70 degrees and got home this morning to 30’s—my brain doesn’t know what’s going on!!
It WAS awesome though driving through the mountains of W. Va and Va where leaves are still changing colors!!
A very warm 45F in Portland.
Boy, I had to drag myself from under the blanket this morning…..good thing is, it’s a short work week!
That is so amazing…you’ve had three photos and you are correct, no resemblence to Kat Von D at all in this pic!
Yeah sweaters! It’s 40ish here in the “Land O’ Lincoln”, but it’s 100+ in my church office! None the less…I’m with you. It’s fall darn it and I’m wearing my sweaters!!! :)
rain, rain, rain
gray skies, lots of mud puddles, the autumn trees are gorgeous
oregon weather at its finest
It feels like 70ish here in Houston. I don’t know who kat von d is. You look more like the brunette on the original Saved by the Bell. I forget her name; she was Zach’s main chick I think?
I live in downtown OKC! It’s a very cool place. Good choice.
The only appropriate phrase that I can muster for the unbecoming weather is, “Double U Tee Eff!?” There, I like it written out how I would phonetically pronounce it, with all its glorious syllables. (5 by my count)
haha. yeah it’s been in the 50’s in rochester [ny]
weird
hope everything with the big move is going good!
Anne- OU lost who cares about the weather! LOL It was kinda warm and cloudy, I didn’t leave the office after early morning. You guys are going to enjoy downtown living in the Big City. Welcome!
I completely understand. We have only seasons of hot and freaking hot in Phoenix. It still in the mid 80s but I’m just thankful no more 90s like last week! I wore a turtleneck to church last week in protest. I’m just going to pretend and maybe the weather will catch up with me!
I tell you there are times I wish I lived in Texas…(my friend has been asking me to move to Plano). Although I’ve been more accustomed to Oregon cooler weather, I wouldn’t mind an 80 degree weather now.
but the humidity and the heat in August…I could live without that.
Warm enough to go to the spa outdoors at 7 PM (in Victoria, TX). Fall will be here for Turkey Day. See you at the December Event!
tom, i will be in victoria for thanksgiving. my whole family is from there. yowzers.
I stay warm no matter the weather. Even when I lived in Washington State, I never owned a sweater.
Certain people think that I look good in a sweater and insist on buying them for me. This is well and good but my body core temperature rivals that of the sun (or at least it feels like it) and thus wearing a sweater cooks me from the inside out like a microwaved burrito.
It’s very chilly here in WA State. Scrape ice off the windshield in the morning chilly. I can’t imagine 80 degrees in November! I never realized TX could be like that. Anyway, I love the color of your sweater. My favorite. I have a purple hooded one that I wish I could wear everyday. I cannot WAIT for your book to come out. My deepest hope is that it makes a TON of waves and changes church life for the better!
well. california has been a little bi-polar lately. i’m not gonna lie, i’ve had my moments where i’m shivering, but my friends will tell you that doesn’t take much. then there are days when i’m back in a tank top … stupid.
like you, however, i’ve colored my hair to reflect my desire for a change of season and embraced the colors of fall that i remember from the midwest … auburn. ahh :) and since starbucks has declared winter, i have already begun my quest for the peppermint mocha.
now i’m in my office with a sweater and my bucks … sweating.
gross.
maybe i shouldn’t try so hard …
Here in SoCal – it is a nice 65 outside right now, but warming up; however, the nights are getting a little chilly which should be interesting for track workout tonite – burrrrrr!
cool new ‘do, Anne. downtown, uh? sounds like a fitting living location. have a great weekend.
England is at its best in Autumn. It sucks at Summer, but Autumn is its thing. It’s flipping freezing and it even SNOWED yesterday…wild.
I like your dark hair.
