miles from home, i write from my lower greenville third place. i’ve watched people come and go. i’ve watched the sun set. my focus is lacking tonight as my list of things-to-write increases ever so slightly.
my heart; fickle as of late. questioning things. what? here? now? when? how? what? where?
i love the fact i cannot be spontaneous. it runs completely against my nature.
otherwise?
i’d be on a coast somewhere looking up at the stars. and nobody would know.
settle down, wandering mind…quiet yourself, duskdreamer.

this is lovely. the simple word ‘duskdreamer’ evokes so many creative heart-dancing thoughts in my mind. thanks for sharing ;)
you’re welcome. that is me at the moment. crazy how words do stuff like that. thank you.
hmm, strange… I’ve been thinking along the same lines lately, that I’m thankful for a relatively stable life, and numerous factors that keep me from doing whatever my heart and soul tells me is a good idea at the time…
…otherwise?
I’d probably be in Seattle or Portland by now, wondering why I didn’t miss anyone, and hoping nobody wasted time missing me.
I like the poetry and transparency in your words. Quite beautiful and peaceful too!
I’m the stable one and my husband is the spontaneous one…needless to say we learn a lot from each other and balance each other out.
i’m starting to think you are somewhere in the corner of my mind writing the cries of my heart for the rest of the world (and me) to read. thanks for sharing and expressing so often what my finite language skills cannot.
by the way, the one time i tried to be spontaneous in college after being invited for a quick run to austin, my roomies were so shocked that it took them close to an hour to actually get out the door. quite humorous for my vantage point! :)
Have you ever laid on a grassy hill and just watched the clouds?
Have you seen the donkey, the bird, or the heart?
Have ever stopped and smelled the rain after a late summer storm?
Have you ever watched a child try to balance on one foot and their tongue sticking out for balance?
Have you ever pushed away your laptop, cell phone, or blackberry, to catch a foreign movie down the block?
Ever dream that you could touch the galaxy and jump the mud puddles or leap over a rainbow?
Some of these I have accomplished!!!
because I dream.
I want to be so wrapped up in God’s arms sharing Him with others, but unfortunately, I live in a world with Outlook, and phones, and tv’s
and most of all bosses with lists and deadlines. AWWW… What i would do for another daydream.
I think this post is out of my league! Just for kicks in the spirit of ee cummings
i sometimes wonder why God uses a simple fishermen like me, i get to let my nets down and no longer be a fisher of fish, but rather a fisher of men, i am a piece of the puzzle that gets to celebrate the big catch, that is a life that has been changed
Whoa! What great inspirations to awaken to! Thanks!
dream on…
I can def. relate with the ” what? here? now? when? how? what? where?” as of lately. With school staring Sept 24th and as a single parent with almost NO income I am a little nerve wrecked. I know God has said..GO! and I am but it is still all so scary.
Still prayin about the book and I will lift you up in prayer today =)

okay seriously … do you truly love the fact that you cannot be spontaneous? cause sometimes it makes me feel like a drag.
i disagree anne…i think the post is spontaneous. i think some of my best writing is just that, captured emotion at the time we feel it.
I really do love the fact I am not impulsive. I would be sooooo in trouble.
Michael – the feelings/emotions behind this post took me a month to put them up here… :) So, I had been sitting on them for a long time! But thank you!
wow…a month, i would have expected more….just kidding.
Wouldn’t you just like to take a $100 and spend it on absolutely nothing Anne. I would think with no spontaneous activity in your life it would get stressful? OR am I just too much of a dreamer?
Anne,
You are loved woman…
Still praying,
Camey
So, just a side note…are you totally attached to your banner? Because I think your other ones are more reflective of you. Sorry…that kind of sucks that I said that. Okay then. Sorry. You know that I am not that mean right? Don’t break up with me.
