i love being an adult. it means that as i am toasting my turkey sandwich in our toaster oven, i can eat my ben & jerry’s first.

I remember when my wife and I were just dating and I was going to have ice cream at dinner time saying “I’m 31 years old, I can have ice cream for dinner if I want to.” I think it should be part of the 4 food groups.
Amen!
You know what’s better?
Having ice cream for breakfast, and having pancakes for dinner. Done it a million times!!! :)
Thats adult power right there! I am a pizza for breakfast kinda girl.
It’s great how we can graduate to adulthood and buy our own groceries, choosing all the awesome foods we want to eat, and when to eat them.
What I still don’t understand is how I can open the fridge and think nothing looks tasty, even though I’m the one who just bought it…
Coveting right now.
where’s miiiiine
Cherry Garcia all the way…
it’s all about breakfast cereal. there’s so many good one’s that my mom never let me get: lucky charms, cap’n crunch (with crunchberries), fruit loops, cocoa puffs, honey smacks, oh yeah did I mention luck charms?
when my wife is away I eat em for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! unless we run out of milk…
btw – thanks for the “thanks” on my blog~
The Brownie Diet Rules!
soooo true.
yummm phish food is my favorite! :)
Chunky Monkey is a four course meal.
First, I have to say I have read and reread many of your recent blog posts. I can’t wait for the “Mad Church Disease” release. Btw- will there be a movie? Donald Miller is making a movie for “Blue Like Jazz.” I bet Kirk Cameron is starring as Tony the beat poet.
And, my hubby and I sat down with a the new Cinnabon Ben & Jerry’s the other eve. YUM!
Which one did you have?
Yummy…but the hardest part is knowing when to put the ice cream down! I can’t seem to master that part yet.
when i left home, i called my mother and said, “Guess what I’m doing.” Then I told her I was eating ice cream…straight out of the container…because i could.
It IS a good feeling.
:-)
My friend makes the most incredible homemade cheesecake…as we were eating it tonight, my son turned to me and suddenly realized we hadn’t eaten dinner—so we had more cheesecake!!! Now that’s my boy… ;)
It changes a little when kids come into the picture. I’m pretty picky about what I let my kids eat….
So, I just put them in the minivan about 5 minutes before we really need to leave for somewhere, go back into the house and stuff my face with forbidden goodies….
I’m not proud, but I’m honest. :-)
mmmm…Chocolate Fudge Brownie…..
Its always good to have a little something beforehand so you’re not tempted to overeat your turkey sandwich. Good strategy.
Not only is that me, but I am also leading the young astray. My 14 year old niece has been staying with me for a couple weeks, and last night for dinner? It was coffee crunch ice cream with whoa-so-good real caramel & nuts on top for me, and vanilla with hot fudge for her. (She’s still a novice).
What’s silly is that I blurted out to her, in all seriousness, You don’t eat vegetables! I haven’t seen you have one vegetable since you’ve been here!
Doctor, heal thyself, huh!
