Ok, not to be a pain or anything, but how many stupid passes were there? No, I don’t care about the gorilla, just that I was right. Hee hee!

So my question along with Robin is HOW MANY did you guys count!?
At first I had 16 then 15, Chris had 15 both times.
15 then 16
I saw the gorilla the first time through… and I counted 16 passes both times. One or two of which you can’t see, but it had to have occurred because the ball gets passed to the person who just had the ball before someone passed in front of them…
Also, they pass it around the gorilla at one point… which makes the whole thing even funnier I think…
Awesome! I counted 14 passes both times but missed the gorilla, I think because he was black and I blocked anything that was black. Chris, you still have a “funny” sense of humor. Love it.
I counted 14 then 13. But I saw the gorilla both times so maybe it distracted me and I missed a pass or two. Don’t know?
I counted 13, but I was probably low because I kept getting distracted by that stupid gorilla. Maybe I’m too ADD to have inattentional blindness…
I counted 16 both times. A thought struck me though as the announcer pointed out there was a gorilla BLATENTLY walking through the picture. That thought was, how obvious does God make Himself but being the human that I am, I miss Him? Can the same be said for those that don’t believe in a God? We are so focused on our own agendas we end up missing the obvious.

14! But what does it mean? Do I have inattentional blindness? Are there meds i should be taking, or medical advice I should seek. I don’t like gorillas. Did you happen to see the remainder of the video? Does it tell you the number of passes? Who’s right, am I right?

i like the test. it made me think,from about robin on down,(and robin being very honest, is dead set on getting the answer right.) and that something in itself. here`s what i got from it . so many times we are told what this or that verse in the bible means..so after being told what to see that is all we see, even when we read it.so today i ask you to read the bible again with a fresh mind.and see what has been blind to you. for the blind will lead the blind. let those who have an ear hear the word of god..and you shall see the hidden truth.

I counted 14. Now, if you count the pass that was caught AFTER the buzzer, then I think 15. I did see the gorilla the first time and lost track of counting although I didn’t notice it beating its chest until I stopped watching the passes. Wondered what the “S”s were on the wall.

i counted 15 both times..but the gorilla!? wow. I thought they played a different tape at the end..i actually had to rewind the youtube video and see for myself. weird. :)
I saw the gorilla immediately and thought why did he get in the game. The shocking part to me was that HALF the people who did this test did not SEE the gorilla the first time….HALF……I thought it was very obvious when he walked in, yet half of the testers did not even notice him!!!
I guess we block out what we do not want to see. Only look for the passes in white….but I’ve always sort of been a “big picture” type of person. Interesting experiment.
