Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone famous? The first time it happened to me, I was in a Barnes & Noble & someone said I looked like Elisabeth Shue. A couple years later, some ladies I worked with said I resembled Melissa Joan Hart. No complaints on either, as both of them are quite pretty.
Last weekend, our teaching pastor at church taught a message called “Spitting Image” and talked about a website, MyHeritage.com. On MyHeritage.com, you can upload a picture of yourself and it scans it for facial feature and gives you a few celebrities who share similar traits. I decided to go and try it for myself. Here are a few people I ended up with after submitting two photos.
Now, not only does this software match you with your gender, but it also pulls similarities from the other gender as well…I found the following matches a little disturbing:

mine said ron howard, then liz hurley, then tyra banks, but ron was the closest match.

okay, my number one…jada pinkett smith. what the heck?! I tried several pictures and got Ricky Martin, Julio Iglesias, John Travolta, Joss Stone, John Nash and Carrie Underwood twice. My dad and I both had Bruce Willis in common. My wife got kelly clarkson, mischa barton, and some girl named Tata Young everytime.
I got Sheryl Crow, Margaret Mitchell and Vivian Leigh (how ironic is it that I got those two together). Oh, and Paul Simon.
The next photo I used I got David Letterman and Johnny Carson, amongst others.
Weird.
I wasted too much time on that site, loading tons of pics, trying to get something more than once – and ended up with Kirsten Dunst coming out ahead of the pack. But I also got Michael Ballack twice, which is pretty cool (he’s the captain of the German national soccer team), and Princes Harry and William of Wales…and their mother. I guess that’s where they get their good looks ;)

I got Elisha Cuthbert (from 24) and Drew Barrymore. In real life people always say Keri Russell, but I’ve always thought it was just our curly hair and skin coloring that was alike, not our actual faces.
